Hugo is an award-winning photographer based in Melbourne. His work expresses a curiosity for people, place and movement through a diverse range of photographic styles. When not behind the lens, Hugo enjoys playing the trumpet and life as an electrical engineering student.
Hugo was awarded The Royal Meteorological Society Young Weather Photographer of the Year Award in 2019, first and fourth place in the Young Amateur Photographer of the Year (Architecture) in 2021 and has been shortlisted many times in the same competition. Most recently he placed in the top 20 in the architecture category of Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers in 2022.
Hugo's professional work combines his love for music and photography through his work with Melbourne's talented classical musicians and ensembles. He also covers weddings and events where his skills in portraiture and street photography shine.
